Mr. Conn began his career with Payne & Brockway in 1986 as a Survey Crew Chief, after working 4 years with another engineering company. In 1996, Mr. Conn moved into the office as the Survey Crew Coordinator and in 2001, he assumed the position of Survey Department Administrator. Gerald became a partner in the firm in 2005.
Mr. Conn is a Licensed Land Surveyor and currently supervises the operations of 2 Payne & Brockway survey crews. As Survey Department Administrator, Mr. Conn is actively engaged in all survey and construction projects of our firm.
Project Highlights
Johnson County Control Network
- Established Control Monuments throughout Johnson County for the GPS Control Network
- Coordinated the research, recovery, GPS observations and processed the GPS data for the section corners of 134 sections within Johnson County.
- Reset and Re-established the positions and elevations of GPS Control monuments
- Olathe Water Transmission Line (119th & Renner Road to 79th & Corliss)
- Coordinated the section control, calculations and preparation of the water transmission line and easement documents.
Johnson County Wastewater, Blue River 15
- Coordinated the field work needed for the preliminary design and construction layout, overseeing the calculations needed for the alignment, preparation of temporary and permanent easement documents.
Watershed Master Planning
- Provided the engineering staff with the field information needed for hydrologic and hydraulic modeling. Prepared FEMA Elevation Certificates for property owners within the watershed study area, as requested.
